The WANL Futures competition has concluded, delivering a series of highly competitive and exciting matches across all eight GIG WA Netball League clubs.

It was fantastic to see emerging talent take the court and showcase their skills, with both athletes and coaches bringing their hard work to life. Souwest Jets proved to be the team to beat, securing victory in the finals against the Comets.

Several athletes will now continue their netball journey, having been selected into 21/U GIG WANL teams or nominated as training partners.

The competition also provided valuable development opportunities for officials, with umpires being identified for the State Umpire Performance Program, and bench officials continuing to refine their skills in the lead-up to the GIG WANL season.

The GIG WANL season for the Open and 21/U divisions commences on Wednesday 22 April, with the Men’s Division beginning on Wednesday 13 May for Belt Up Round.
