Umpires from affiliated Associations in the Wheatbelt-Goldfields may be identified and selected into the Wheatbelt-Goldfields Umpire Development Academy. Umpire selection for this program comes primarily from the Wheatbelt-Goldfields Regional Championships. However, umpires that have been identified at other Carnivals or Association visits can be included into the program. Umpires may be invited to the Wheatbelt-Goldfields Talent Development Camp as a component of the program.

This program offers selected umpires the opportunity for further pathway development both on and off court.

In 2026 identified players and coaches will be invited into the Developing Talent Academy program.

The Developing Talent Academy (DTA) program provides a supportive and structured environment where players can continue to build strong foundations for future development. With skill development at the core of the program, players are supported to develop their skills, build confidence and prepare for future opportunities within the pathway.

Delivered through a balance of on-court training and off-court education, the DTA program supports players to develop not only their fundamental skills but also their understanding of physical preparation and personal development as a player.

With a coordinated approach across the state, the program promotes consistency between regional and metropolitan delivery, ensuring a shared vision for player development. Importantly, the DTA complements the strong development work already occurring within regions and associations, helping players continue to develop their skills and prepare for future opportunities within Fever in Time and the broader Netball WA pathway.

The DTAs for the Wheatbelt Goldfields region will be delivered from August 2026 through to May 2027. During this time, players are encouraged to participate in as many sessions as possible to maximise the full benefits of the program.  Throughout the program, coaches will support each athlete's individual development, with observations helping to inform future pathway opportunities where appropriate
