Netball WA are pleased to announce the 17/U and 19/U State Teams who are filled with talent and focused on returning to the podium in 2026.

Both teams were selected following an extensive and highly competitive squad program held from October to January. Throughout the selection period, athletes demonstrated outstanding commitment, work ethic and growth, making the final selection process both challenging and rewarding.

The athletes have been identified through Netball WA’s key pathway competitions and programs. This includes the Fuel to Go & Play Association Championships, State Cup, the Fever in Time Program, and Netball WA Development Academies operating throughout Western Australia.

Four regional athletes have been named in the teams, highlighting the continued growth of the regional pathways and the exciting talent emerging from regional WA.

17/U Head Coach Mel Rainey said the standard and depth of her squad is outstanding.

“The athletes showed strong professionalism, work ethic, and coachability throughout the selection process and this group is ready to challenge at the national level,” she said.

19/U Head Coach Josie Janz-Dawson is encouraged by the strong level of experience and leadership built throughout the pathway programs.

“These athletes have shown maturity, resilience, and a clear intent to perform, and we are confident they can push for podium success,” she said,
