Simone Hansen commenced as Group Chief Executive Officer of Netball WA in April 2021 and is responsible for leading and developing the sport of netball across Western Australia.
In this role, Simone oversees Netball WA’s broad community, participation and performance outcomes, while also leading the organisation’s elite arm, West Coast Fever, WA’s representative team in the world’s leading domestic netball competition. She is also an Executive Director of Glass Jar Australia, which delivers the Shooting Stars program, empowering young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls across Western Australia and South Australia.
Simone is an experienced senior leader with a strong background across sport and financial services, having previously held senior leadership roles with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and Aussie Home Loans. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Management WA.
Simone has a lifelong connection with netball, having played throughout her youth and now continuing to support the sport through her leadership role. Her key focus remains on strengthening engagement and participation across Western Australia, connecting netball with local communities, supporting the ongoing success of West Coast Fever and continuing the positive impact of the Shooting Stars program.
