Simone Hansen commenced as Chief Executive Officer of Netball in WA in April, 2021 bringing to the organisation almost two decades of senior leadership experience in the banking and finance sector across Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Hansen has enjoyed a lifelong connection with netball – first as a player in her youth, and now as a supporter watching her daughter play in both the winter and spring netball seasons.
Her key objectives include lifting engagement and participation across all of netball in Western Australia, connecting the sport with the local community, ensuring the success of West Coast Fever as part of the elite national competition, and continuing the incredible outcomes of the Shooting Stars program.
Hansen is also currently a member of the West Australian Football Commission’s Women in Football Advisory Committee, and a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Management WA.
