Dent completed his Advanced Coaching Accreditation in 2018, and was Head Coach of the Perth Lions Reserves side in the West Australian Netball League (WANL), as well as Assistant Coach of the Western Sting in the Australian Netball League.

Dent will be assisted by Beth Harvey, who has served as a Netball WA selector and is currently completing her Elite Coaching Accreditation.

Amanda Love has been appointed 19U Apprentice Coach, while Debra Poole will serve as Manager, Kobie Combes as Apprentice Manager, Malcolm Wright as Analyst and Dave Moala as Physiotherapist.

Jaime-Leigh Strickland has been appointed 17U Head Coach, and has been through the pathway as an Apprentice and Assistant Coach, and takes on the Head Coach role for the first time.

Strickland completed her Elite practical assessment this year, and coached the Rangers Reserves side in WANL, and also coached WA’s Marie Little OAM Shield side.

She has also spent time working with West Coast Fever Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich in the Fever environment over the past 12 months.

Strickland will be assisted by Taryn Smith, who has also come through the Netball WA Coaching Pathway, and is also in the process of completing her Elite Coaching Accreditation, as well as serving as Assistant Coach for School Sport WA 15U Schoolgirls team.

Reechelle Guadagnino has been appointed Apprentice Coach for the 17U side, while Sondra Anderson will serve as Manager, Kobie Combes as Apprentice Manager, Dylan Wood as Analyst and Daniel Stead as Physiotherapist.

Netball WA Chief Executive Officer Simon Taylor congratulated the selected coaching and support staff.

“Being awarded the opportunity to mentor any State Team is a wonderful opportunity, and one that I know this group will relish,” Taylor said.

“We have selected a strong group of coaches and support staff in both age groups, and I am confident that they will lead Western Australia in a professional and competitive matter.”

“I know this group will be doing everything they can to ensure Western Australia continues to improve at the National Netball Championships, and I wish them the best of luck.”

The 17U and 19U National Netball Championships will be held in Brisbane in 2019.
