Netball WA is pleased to announce nominations for 2021 Life Membership are now open.
Awarded annually, Life Membership is the highest individual honour currently bestowed by Netball WA, and is the recognition of the significant, sustained and lasting contribution to the sport in Western Australia.
Netball WA Life Members remain very active within the netball community and play a strong advocacy role across the organisation and State.
Netball WA General Manager of Community, Liz Booth said it is important the West Australian netball community consider worthy nominees.
“Life Membership is the ultimate way of recognising the contribution any Member has made to netball in Western Australia,” Booth said.
“There are a number of worthy individuals within our netball community and I strongly encourage all Members to consider submitting a nomination for a suitable candidate.
“The current list of Life Members incorporates names that are synonymous with our game here in the West and their dedication to our game builds on our purpose of advancing netball and advancing communities.”
To be eligible, the nominee must be a registered financial Member of Netball WA (or a previously registered member if being nominated posthumously) and have demonstrated a high quality of work or service consistently initiated, performed or undertaken directly for Netball WA over the course of a 10-year period.
Nominations are now open here, with submissions to be made by the close of business Friday, 5 February, 2021.
The Netball WA Board will consider nominations and, if appropriate, award Life Membership at the 2021 Annual General Meeting.
