Netball WA and Kleenheat back local umpires

Netball WA is pleased to announce Kleenheat has thrown its support behind grassroots netball in Western Australia, joining as the governing body’s latest Partner.

One of WA’s leading energy solutions providers, Kleenheat has signed on as Major Partner of the Green Shirt Program, which provides Associations with the opportunity to nurture and develop new umpires.

Additionally, Kleenheat will support the largest participation event on the Netball WA calendar – the  Smarter Than Smoking Association Championships, and feature prominently at the West Australian Netball League (WANL) as Major Partner of WANL Umpires.

Kleenheat General Manager, Mark Gadsby said Kleenheat has a long history of supporting the local sporting community and the partnership with Netball WA was a natural fit.

“This partnership is an exciting opportunity to get involved with the community while supporting a worthy program.

“We’re proud to support young people in the Green Shirt Program, to not only develop them as future umpires, but help build confidence in other areas of life.

Netball WA General Manager of Community Liz Booth said the new partnership would have a significant impact on an essential area of the sport.

“Without umpires there would be no game, so it’s wonderful to see a local organisation like Kleenheat invest in an area that’s critical to our sport,” Booth said.

“Western Australia has many outstanding umpires at all levels of the game and we believe this partnership will help us continue to grow our umpiring participation, particularly at the grassroots level.”

“We thank Kleenheat for their support of netball in Western Australia, and look forward to growing this relationship long into the future.”
