July 8

As part of NAIDOC week celebrations, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander netball players from across WA are invited to participate in the annual NAIDOC Netball Carnival, the largest such netball event in Australia. Held at the State Netball Centre, and staged in conjunction with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the NAIDOC Netball Carnival is both an opportunity to introduce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander netballers to competitive netball, as well as a platform to increase awareness and education around health promotion, health prevention and care benefits for Indigenous people. The age divisions include Suncorp NetSetGO, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U, four open divisions, and a Masters division.
